Carmen Szeto is a self-taught freelance illustrator, artist and photographer based in Toronto, ON. Her work has been featured at the Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, and on www.everydayallergenfree.com. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Guelph but has always held a passion for art from as young as age 10.

Her passion for wildlife and travel mirrors her artwork through a mix of bright colours and a clean style. Most of Carmen's best work is done with acrylic paint but pen and ink illustrations, watercolours, oil paint and digital design are examples of other media she uses. Her drive to challenge herself through the use of differing techniques separates her realism style from others.

Carmen focuses her photography in travel and leisure. She seeks to highlight landscapes, local experience and wildlife. Shooting with intention to capture the essence and blissful emotions of travel, Carmen chooses to preserve the vivid colours and natural life in the shot and is often inspiration for her artwork

Outside of art and photography, Carmen is an advocate for the environmental conservation. She loves the outdoors, fitness and anything related to science.
